Our little guy celebrated his 100th day of Kindergarten last week. Along with that the kids get to dress up like a 100-year-old person. He was the only one willing to dress-up- although he had one requirement- no gray hair! How funny.
When it comes to costumes, I like to get a big impact with little money. After all, it’s a COSTUME. It’s not going to be on them long. Whether it’s Halloween or a school dress-up day, I rack my brain on how to make something cute and cheap.
For this 100-year-old I had him wear his church white shirt and khaki’s. The boys actually have a few bowties (bought from Amazon years ago) but we still needed glasses and suspenders.
The glasses were easy. I went to Dollar Tree and bought a pair of readers. Then I popped out the lenses. (They were actually in for this picture. He wanted to try it with them. But we eventually took the lenses out.)
The suspenders were nearly as easy. These are not adjustable so when you cut whatever material you use, make sure it’s the correct length.
